Description

Features showy white spring flowers, pinnate-compound green leaves and clusters of bright scarlet red fall fruit. Fruit persists into winter season. Leaves turn a yellow-red in fall Upright compact dense oval form. Great choice for smaller areas like gardens and yards, or as a centerpiece. Great for attracting birds to your yard. It is native from Labrador and Newfoundland to Quebec south to Iowa, New York and Maine with scattered populations further south in the Appalachian mountains to North Carolina. It is very similar to and often grows in areas populated by American mountain ash. Other names include Dogberry, Northern Mountain Ash. Resistant to fireblight.
