Laurnen Leaf Willow

Broad dense head, great for providing shade, noted for its glossy green foliage. Rounded form. Keeps leaves later into the fall. Has slender, pliable twigs, on drooping branches. Leaves are aromatic when brused. Great for privacy, shelterbelts, windbreaks and screening. Also works well as a centerpiece due to the unique shiny leaves, or in parks, and other larger areas. Native to northern Europe and northern Asia. Sometimes called Bay Willow or just Laurel Willow. Natural habitats include borders of creeks and other wetlands. Likes moist soil and will tolerate some standing water.
