Dropmore Linden


The best linden for the Grande Prairie area. Dense pyramidal shape, with dark green glossy cordate leaves and outstanding yellow fall color. Fragrant butter yellow flowers with tan bracts drooping below the branches. Smooth grey bark. Is the hardiest linden for the prairies. Hybrid cross between American and Littleleaf Linden. Provides shade. Great specimen for the home landscape, park or street Amazing disease resistance and sun scald resistance. Very adaptable to a number of situations, including high tolerance to urban pollution. Does best in full sunlight, in good draining soils, and in landscapes with irrigation similar to those of a bluegrass lawn. Likes full sun. Flowers in early summer. Best pruned in late winter.
